Individual task Vash Jezek

I have chosen Pulp fiction as my individual film because the film is very similar in the way that we are making ours. Straight away in the opening scene of the film, the films goes into action with a robbery in a local diner. The credits of the film and actors names come on at beginning of the film which the film starts at the ends it self.

EXT.TUNNEL-DUSK

IVY comes skipping into the tunnel humming, followed by her boyfriend, MICHAEL. They are having an argument.

MICHAEL grabs IVY by the arm.

MICHAEL
You're being ridiculous, have you
even taken your medication today?

IVY giggles.

IVY
That's for sick people, I'm not
sick!

MICHAEL
Don't start all this again, you know
if you don't take your medication
you'll start having panic attacks
again

IVY
It wasn't me having panic attacks,
it was Cassie, she is weak, pathetic
and useless. I hate her!

MICHAEL
(angry and frustrated) You and Ivy
are the same...

IVY
(angry) I'm Ivy!

MICHAEL
Sorry, you and Cassie are the same,
so you are going to have to live with
each other! You need to realise
that you are ill and you need help Cassie...

IVY
(louder, angry) IVY!

IVY starts pulling the knife out of her long, lacy fingerless glove.

MICHAEL
(apologetically, irritated) Sorry, sorry Ivy.
Why don't you come with me and we will go see
your psychiatrist, Dr. Bentley. Remember
her? She can help you Cassie!

Knife comes into view.

IVY
(shouting, angry) IVY!!

IVY stabs MICHAEL in the lower torso.
A look of shock flashes across his face.
He falls to the floor.

IVY
(disgusted, looking at the knife)
Now look what you've done.

IVY leans over him and wipes the blood off the
knife, onto his shirt.

A passer by then screams as they witness the
murder, IVY then blacks out.

CASSIE wakes up to see policemen around her.

CASSIE is put in the back of the police car
and driven away.

TITLES
CASSIE is sat with the psychiatrist
talking with her.

DR. BENTLEY
Hello Cassie. How are you feeling
today?

Long pause.

DR. BENTLEY
Do you remember what happened?

(voice over) CASSIE
It wasn't always like this, I was
happy, I had a family, a
brilliant boyfriend, I was doing well
at school. It's different now,
everything's changed.

A Day in The Life (Research and idea) By Vash

This short film is about a normal guy who starts adopting this special power, that makes him invisible and like a ghost. However this power then consumes him whole.

The video shown here is an AS level student's project and creation. It is the same type of project we are doing. That is, to create a movie opening. I have chosen this perticular example as oppose to many other because i love the way the producers of this film add the special effects. I also like the way they introduced non-diagetic sounds into film.

Soundtrack Idea by Earshot (soundtrack idea for a scene) By Vash

This is a soundtrack called "wait" by a band named Earshot. I picked this soundtrack as an idea to play as a non-diagetic sound, for when our actor with multiple personal disorder turns into a deadly psychopatic killer, filled with rage and anger.

The Three Faces of Eve (Related Clips) By Vash

This film is an American adaptation of the book of the same name which was loosely based on the true story of Chris Costner Sizemore, a woman who suffered from dissociative identity disorder. Sizemore's identity was concealed in the book and film, and was not revealed to the public until the late 1970s.

Flash Forward (Related Clips) By Ryan

The clips below are taken from the american hit TV series 'Flash Forward'. A mysterious event which causes nearly everyone on the earth to have a blackout for 137 seconds, causing them to have a glimpse of their future in six years time. The series is centered around a team of F.B.I which investigate what caused the blackout and wether it would happen again.
