The first two minutes of Blackout begins in a tunnel. At this point the personality shown is Ivy, she comes skipping into the tunnel followed by Michael. They begin arguing over Ivy's medication, throughtout the scene Ivy gets angrier and angrier because Michael keeps calling her Cassie. The third time he calls her Cassie she loses her temper completely and stabs Michael with the knife she had hidden in her jacket sleeve. After she blacks out at the scene, where she wakes up to find the police have been called and she is being arrested.
Scene 2
The personality has changed to Cassie and she is in her psychiatrists office, in a Psychiartic Institution, where she is visited by her psychiatrist Dr. Bentley. While Dr. Bentley is talking there is a narrative voice over by Cassie. This scene then ends and the rest of the film tells the story of why Ivy/Cassie killed Michael.
Suggested elements:
  1. Flashbacks - This is used to show different stages in Cassie's life, what she is remembering.
  2. Narrative Voice Over - This is used throughout the film, mostly during the beginning and end, the voice over is Cassie, this goes with the flashbacks, she is trying to explain her story.
  3. Moody lighting - this creates a dark, eery setting which will mostly be used when Ivy is around as it goes well with her character.
